Why my Arlo doorbell not recording?

      


Is your arlo doorbell not detecting recording motion? This often happens  to me. Don't worry it's a common problem for all.


It may cause many reasons for not recording by camera are wifi connection,server issue , camera not enabled in app setting etc.


Here some solutions


  1. Check your wifi connection

  2. Check your subscription

  3. Check setting in arlo app 

  4. Check wire connection

  5. Try restarting the device

  6. Alro server issue




1.Check your wifi connection


Check your wifi connection with arlo device unless you wont record videos and upload to the cloud of app.

Make sure your internet is stable and not slow because this is not good for this device.


You can check the speed and connectivity of the internet with your mobile phone. Also take care that your  wifi router is not far away from this device.



2. Check your Arlo subscription


You know that Arlo is a subscription based app .if your subscription plan expired or not subscribe yet ,you have to get a subscription.

You can choose your plan in the Arlo app.



3.check setting in arlo app


Check setting in arlo app because motion detection may be off so you have to turn on motion detection in  app step by step

  • Step 1- Open the Arlo app on your phone.Next,open the menu on top of your home screen.
  • Tap the motion setting and select the Motion triggered alert.
  • After ,click on Add Device.
  • Choose your doorbell camera.
  • Tap Next  and select Record video.
  • Choose between when the system asks “Record until activity stops”and “Record for specific length of time”.select most specific option.
  • After you choose a Record for a specific length of time, the app will ask you to set time.
  • If you are satisfied then click on next.
  • Now, tap Done to save settings.



4. Check wire connection

Sometimes in shot circuits or may cut wire connection due to many reasons,for that your camera being disconnected as well.so , if you can check where wire disconnected and resolve it.



5.Try restart the device

In many situations many devices start lagging and hanging or not work properly for in this situation we Restart the device then it works properly.


6. Arlo server issue


If you tried all five solutions not working it may cause the arlo server issue for this you can contact the Arlo support team.


Final thoughts
